This workshop with Rachel Skipper will enable you to delve deeper in to heart opening backbends and prepare your body and mind to explore postures such as; Urdhva Dhanurasana (Upward Bow Pose) and Natarjasana (King Dancer Pose).
The workshop will begin with a preparatory practice to open the shoulders, chest, side body and hips to create space to move more freely and easefully into these deeper postures. We will then progressively explore more advanced backbends and finally finish with counter-movements to neutralize the spine and pranayama to ground the body's energy before a long Savasana.
