50hr Fringe.Athletic CPD

For 200hr RYT’s and Coaches
This 50-hour CPD course is delivered over four structured weekends and is grounded in the Fringe Yoga Elements (Earth, Water, Fire & Air) supported by clear theoretical foundations. taught by Jodie Merrick - Fringe.Yoga co-founder & SYT and Emma Stone - BSc Sports Rehabilitation and Therapy.
FRINGE.Athletic exists to give athletes the tools they need to elevate performance, enhance recovery & support long-term athletic longevity. Through targeted breathwork, nervous system regulation and movement-based practices, our coaches will help you build a body that performs at a high level and lasts.
This CPD will cover in-depth anatomy & physiology about fascia, connective tissue, the science of stretching, neuropathways connection, balance, stability, CNS regulation & mental health (especially with the youth/academy teams) and the difference between how western medicine sees the body compared to Eastern philosophies like Yoga, Ayurveda & TCM - giving coaches/teachers a chance to weave some of this wisdom into their planning.
CPD Objectives:
Understand what the main movement patterning is in key sports - Running, Football, Padel, Tennis, Golf, Cycling, Boxing & Weightlifting
Understand the Fringe.Method
Connection between performance, mindset & recovery
Deepen knowledge of Fascia, Connective Tissue & stretching modalities
Team coaching versus 1:2:1
Confidence in teaching a Fringe.Athletic practice
Confidence in teaching MFR with various props
Build a support network with like minded people
What to expect - Each training day will include:
A grounding mindset meditation, breathwork & YIN practice
A Fringe.Athletic yoga practice around the focal Fringe.Method Element of the day.
Learning about the anatomy & physiology of the main sports ROM’s
Discussions and information about typical injuries and how to best facilitate recovery.
* Each participant will receive a full colour manual with space to journal their experiences and learnings.
Daily Schedule:
Mindset Meditation & Theme setting
Group Practice
Theory (Anatomy & Physiology)
Theory (Specific sports focused - typical movement patterning, injuries, goals & recovery needs)
Teaching Practice
*You will also attend 8 x Fringe.Method classes either in person or online
*Plus homework (4hrs)
This course will include 46hrs contact time & 4hrs non-contact time = 50 hrs total CPD
